World Skills | Canada

World Skills (website) is an Ottawa, ON based charitable organization founded in 1997 dedicated exclusively to the employment needs of newcomers and to the needs of the local labour market. They help immigrants incorporate into the workforce through employment competency building, job search training and support, cultural competency building and language training.

World Skills is also home to the Ottawa Newcomer Entrepreneur Hub (ONE HUB website), that offers several entrepreneurship training programs funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.

In addition, they are a core partner in the ESDC funded Credentials Recognition Program (link) which assists newcomers to Canada in having their skills, education, and experience assessed against Canadian standards as well as accessing up to $30,000 to gain new skills.
